The system is designed to degrade the detection, identification, and tracking capabilities of adversary early warning and air defence radar systems in the operational area. By exploiting resulting vulnerabilities in enemy command, control, and air defence networks, KORAL-2 supports friendly platforms in carrying out attack, defence, and support missions in a reduced-risk environment.
Developed with national capabilities, KORAL-2 builds on the expertise gained through the indigenously developed KORAL land -based standoff electronic warfare system. With redesigned subsystems that take into account emerging technologies and the growing diversity of threats, KORAL-2 will provide the Turkish Armed Forces with enhanced combat power on the battlefield.
