The National Competence Initiative Project is a strategic human capital transformation program launched to identify, improve, promote, and sustain the technical, behavioral, and leadership competencies required by Türkiye’s defence industry. The project was initiated on 6 August 2024 by the decision of the Defence Industry Executive Committee, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and is carried out by the Defence Industry Academy under the coordination of the Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB). The project involves comprehensive efforts to define, disseminate, and sustain the human capital competencies needed to develop the products and systems that will strengthen Türkiye’s technological superiority.
